RECREATION
The Inglis Community is an excellent area for
organized sports and recreation
Baseball
From the end of May until middle of July, Inglis enters into a slow pitch
league. There are about 10 teams in the league from the surrounding area - Russell,
Langenburg, Binscarth. Games take place Tuesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.
There is a league tournament about the second week in July held at Inglis Beach.
All are welcome to come out and play.

There is an outdoor basketball court along PR 366 behind the Inglis
Activity Centre for anyone who wishes to play. You will need to bring your own
basketball.
Broomball
There is a broomball league that an Inglis team enters into that runs from
January until spring. Broomball practices/has games Tuesday and Thursday nights at
the Skating Rink.
Cross-Country skiing
The land around here is flat and ideal for cross-country skiing
anywhere. Even better though is Rivendell Cross Country Ski Area which is located
west off Hwy 83 between Inglis and Roblin. It features groomed ski trails which
follows the Assiniboine Valley and rentals are available. Phone (204) 564-2315 for
more information. http://www.ccski.mb.ca/map_Rivendell.jpg
Curling
Inglis has a curling rink with 3 sheets of artificial ice.
Currently the plant is not working so we are trying natural ice. Regular curling is
every Thursday night (starting in January) at 7:30 p.m.
Downhill skiing &
snowboarding
Inglis is very fortunate to be the closest town to Canada's Best New
Attraction in 2000 - the Asessippi Ski
Area. An excellent resort with an amazing winter village.
There are 21 downhill ski/board runs ranging from beginner to expert and quad and
triple chair lifts. Manitoba's only half-pipe resides at Asessippi Ski
Area as well
as many terrain parks. And we can't forget the thrilling downhill tubing park.
Phone (204) 564-2000 for details.
